Ask separately about top-layer and overall engineered-board thickness

Wood colour concerns the surface; all-birch plywood describes the core construction. Check face timber, top-layer thickness and overall specifications separately for clearer product information.

Inside the board

General construction illustration. Wood colour and thickness proportions are illustrative; confirm actual layers, species and dimensions for the selected product.
1 · Solid wood face
Provides the visible grain and colour. Check face thickness separately from total board thickness.
2 · Bonding interface
Joins the face to the core. Confirm the adhesive system and relevant test documents for the selected model.
3 · Cross-laminated plywood core
Bonded wood veneers are shown in alternating directions. Ply count and species depend on the model.

02The section explains construction

Begin a board's appearance with grain, colour and finish; turn to its cross-section to understand construction. Multi-ply engineered flooring combines a solid wood top layer and multi-ply core. The surface wood and the structure beneath it are different information.

03Which part does ‘all-birch’ describe?

In HUAGE's engineered flooring information, 'all-birch plywood core' describes a multi-ply birch core, not a birch face. Specific products can have oak, black walnut, teak or other top layers, with colour and surface effects compared separately. When asking about a product, list the top-layer wood and core separately, then check top-layer thickness, total finished thickness, length and width. One thickness figure alone cannot identify whether it measures the top layer or the whole board.

04Pattern cannot replace construction either

Straight boards, narrow boards, herringbone and chevron describe formats or floor layouts, not internal layers. A preferred pattern still needs a specific material and specification. Compare surface samples and sections together. Where technical documents or installation conditions matter, list them in the discussion brief and confirm the selected product's documents and arrangements.
