What information is useful for an initial flooring discussion?
Plans explain the space, references explain expectations, and areas and programmes explain project arrangements. Together they provide a clear starting point for selection discussions.

02Start with the available information
A flooring proposal need not begin with every product name decided. Start from existing drawings, renderings, colour boards or furniture finishes, explain the intended interior relationship, then establish wood, colour, format and pattern gradually.
03Use drawings to show application locations
First state the project region, rooms and estimated area. If walls, ceilings or stairs are included, identify each separately with corresponding plans, elevations or dimensions rather than using one overall rendering to replace information for every application. Mark doorways, corners, adjoining materials and edges needing details on drawings. Explain subfloor conditions, construction progress and the preferred installation programme alongside material selection information.
04Use samples to define appearance and schedules to retain decisions
Reference images communicate a direction; physical samples make grain, colour variation and finish easier to compare. Bring together the preferred wood colour, board proportions, laying pattern and matching furniture finishes to make discussions more specific. HUAGE's China project discussions cover selection, sampling, supply, installation arrangements and maintenance. Material choices, site conditions and responsibility scope can be consolidated into one schedule as the basis for subsequent approval.
